Ray Sportz News Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders star batter Rinku Singh is happy with earning less money in the Indian Premier League, though his other Indian Cricket Team players are getting much more money. With calmness the big hitter has revealed that he was quite happy with the RS 55 lakh rupees earning that he gets from KKR every season. While speaking to the daily Dainik Jagaran before traveling for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, Rinku has revealed that when he started playing cricket he didn’t imagine that one day he would be earning this huge money.

Rinku has been with KKR since 2018. At that time the three-time Indian Premier League winning side had bought him from the auction for 80 lakh rupees. Later they released him but again they bought him back in 2022 for 55 lakh rupees. After that Rinku never looked behind and went onto become one of the best finishers of the side, and earned a in the Indian Cricket Team.

Few months back, he was also named in BCCI’s annual retainship contract in 2024, and that he will get 1 crore rupees from BCCI every year.

On being asked about this Rinku revealed that,”Even 50-55 lakhs is a lot. When I started, I had not even thought that I would earn so much. At that time, I was a kid and if I got even 10-5 rupees, I thought I would get it somehow. Now I am getting 55 lakh rupees, so this is a lot, I should be happy with whatever God gives me. This is my thinking. I don’t think at all that I should have got this much money or that much. I am very happy even with 55 lakh rupees. When I didn’t have this, I realized the value of money,”.

While answering on the question, how he still keep his foot on the ground, despite of getting so much fame, Rinku added,”If I tell you the truth today, then all this is an illusion. You did not bring anything with you, nor will you take anything with you. You never know when time will change. I would like to say that you have to go back the same way you came. Stay grounded, what else,” Rinku said.
