Ray Sportz Web Desk: India’s bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has left India’s practice camp in Dubai to return home. According to a report in Times of India on Monday night, the former South African fast bowler has returned due to a personal emergency at home.
The Indian team is currently in the UAE for their Champions Trophy campaign. The tournament will begin on Wednesday, with host nation Pakistan taking on New Zealand. India will play their first match on Thursday against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium.
the Indian team in Dubai was struck by grief during their preparations for the ICC tournament. Morkel’s father passed away. It is yet not known when Morkel will rejoin the Indian camp.
